No one knows how long it will go -- it could end tomorrow - but baseball fans and George Lachowicz are enjoying the moment right now. The 34-year-old Pittsburgh right fielder extended his string to 20 consecutive games in Riders Ballpark today. Lachowicz got 2 hits, but the Milwaukee Pale Ales got the victory. They toppled the Vulcans 11-7. G. Lachowicz grounded out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, flied out in the 6th and hit an RBI double in the 8th.

They put an end to Ross Barnes's 22-game hitting spree by holding him without a hit in 5 at-bats. But it was no big deal to the Lords second baseman.
Barnes seemed to feel more for his team than himself.
"I had some great looks at some pitches that I should have hit. I missed some that I shouldn't have swung at. All in all, I wasn't much help with the bat today."
This season Barnes has hit at a .360 clip with 79 RBIs, 1 home runs and 147 runs scored. He has played in 113 games. | | | Injuries | | Player | Injury | Out for... | Disabled List Status | | P John Peek | ruptured disc (back) | 3-4 months | 40 day(s) left (60-day DL) | | SS Redmond McCready | fractured wrist | 5-6 weeks | Not on DL | | | Team Information | | Record overall | 89-66, .574 PCT | | Position in Division | 1st, - GB | | Record at home | 40-38, .513 PCT | | Record on the road | 49-28, .636 PCT | | Record in X-inning games | 6-3, .667 PCT | | Record in one-run games | 16-13, .552 PCT | | Record versus LHP | 24-19, .558 PCT | | Record versus RHP | 65-47, .580 PCT | | Record last 10 games | 5-5, .500 PCT | | Record in May | 17-11, .607 PCT | | Record in June | 19-8, .704 PCT | | Record in July | 16-12, .571 PCT | | Record in August | 13-13, .500 PCT | | Record in September | 12-15, .444 PCT | | Record in October | 12-7, .632 PCT |
