Sunday, June 30th, 1872: Parrish Keeps Hit Streak Alive
Cleveland's 25-year-old right fielder Harry Parrish has had a fine run at the plate over the last few weeks. His consecutive-game hitting streak has reached 25 games now. Today Parrish extended the streak by going 2-5 against Lords pitching. The streak has brought him a degree of attention that he has tried to deflect. Parrish always prefers to talk about his teammates' accomplishments rather than his own. After the Forest Citys 17-8 triumph over Baltimore at Ballpark of Cleveland he downplayed his part in the victory.
H. Parrish grounded out in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, singled in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, flied out in the 6th and hit an RBI double in the 8th.

This year Parrish is hitting .426 with no home runs.
Thursday, June 27th, 1872: Hill Hits in 20 Consecutive Games
"Things went well for me today. I got 2 hits and the streak is up to 20 games. But we didn't win the game. As you all know, baseball is not about personal accomplishments, its about winning." Those words were spoken by George Hill of the Cleveland Forest Citys to BNN after his club dropped a 12-11 decision to Chicago.
G. Hill flied out in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 4th and hit an RBI single in the 6th.

This season Hill is batting .330 with no home runs. He has scored 36 runs and driven in 28.
Tuesday, June 25th, 1872: Parrish Hits in 20 Straight Games
Harry Parrish continues to hit at a blistering pace. For 20 straight games he has had at least one hit. Parrish did it again today with 3 hits in the Cleveland triumph over Providence. The Forest Citys defeated the Industrials 17-10 at Ballpark of Cleveland.
H. Parrish doubled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, grounded out in the 5th, singled in the 7th and grounded out in the 8th.

Looking at his season stats, Parrish has compiled a .458 batting average and a .480 on-base percentage, while hitting no home runs and driving in 9 runs.
