Sunday, August 30th, 1885: Everett Milone was hitting on all cylinders in 1885, making Worcester a very happy organization. He put up some solid numbers this year and was awarded the New York, New Haven and Hartford League's Batsman of the Year Award today.
The second baseman piled up 135 hits, 21 doubles, 8 triples, 11 home runs and 78 RBI on the way to crafting a .265 batting average.

Saturday, August 29th, 1885: The New York, New Haven and Hartford League has heralded Ed Rexford of the Bridgeport Turkeys as the #1 man on the mound for the 1885 campaign.
This year's Pitcher of the Year Award winner stood out by running up an impressive 28-14 record, holding opposing hitters to a .219 batting average and posting a 1.28 ERA. The 29-year-old hurler tossed 373 innings, gave up 327 hits, fanned 152 and issued 66 walks.
