Transcontinental Baseball Association News Article | |  | Friday, August 18th, 1871: Raskin and Landreneau Fight, Suspended 3 Games The league commissioner has issued 3- game suspensions to Cheyenne left fielder Dick Raskin and Sacramento left fielder Fred Landreneau. The two players were involved in a confrontation during a recent Hell-on-Wheels-Associates game at Cheyenne Grounds and now will miss time because of it. Neither player would comment on the suspensions.
So far in 1871 Raskin is batting .300 with 1 home run, 25 RBIs and 79 runs scored. He has 92 hits in 307 at-bats and a .339 OBP.
In 1871 Landreneau has compiled a 12-13 record with a 5.96 ERA. | |
