He blanked them 7-0 on 5 hits with a total of 1 strikeout and no walks.
The Pittsburgh manager said, "Manes was on quite a roll. He gets great late movement and he doesn't give in to the hitters."
Manes has gone 13-8 this season with an ERA of 3.78 and 13 strikeouts in 176 innings pitched. Other clubs are hitting .278 against him. | |
