Only a handful of players will do that. Get 5 hits in a game and you get your moment of glory... your 5 minutes of fame... you get your name in the record book.
In the Packers 17-3 win over Cheyenne, John Shew was red-hot today, scorching them for hit after hit at Ballpark of Omaha.
"To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax. I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I must admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for a 5-hit game. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close."
On his big day Shew delivered 5 hits in 7 at-bats.
J. Shew singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, flied out in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
Currently Shew has no home runs and a .316 batting average. | |
