 | Sunday, June 16th, 1872: Landenberger to Miss One Week The Sables received bad news this morning. John Landenberger will miss one week due to a strained abdominal muscle. In the Chicago-Providence game he sustained the injury while running the bases. "I'm disappointed more than anything," he told reporters later in the day. "You can't help your team on the bench," Landenberger sighed. "I'll do the rehab work and hope for a quick recovery." In this current campaign Landenberger is hitting at a .333 clip with no home runs and 35 RBIs. |
