 | EA Presents Player of the Week Trophy Monday, April 27th, 1885: At the age of 31, John Longwell might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Washington right fielder put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .538 batting average. For his efforts Longwell collected the Eastern Association Player of the Week Award. He racked up 14 hits in 26 at-bats, no home runs and 6 RBIs last week in 6 games. Thus far this season Longwell has hit .440 with no home runs, 19 RBIs and scored 21 times. |
