"What can you say? We didn't hit well," said the Shipbuilders skipper in his postgame comments. "Hopefully we shake this off and bounce back tomorrow." Beggs finished the game with 4 strikeouts and no walks in an excellent mound performance. "He pitched real well," his manager said. "Dave made pitches when he had to. He hit his spots and did a great job of mixing in his changeup and using his fastball effectively." |
