Wednesday, October 1st, 2008: GL Selects Rookie Star of the Month
Stan Musial is still a bit shy, but then, who could blame the newest Greenies League Rookie of the Month honoree? He hasn't been around the league long enough to fully know the ropes yet, despite the fact that he's putting up veteran-like numbers.

In September the St. Louis hitter tagged opposing pitching for a .407 average with 44 hits, 2 home runs and 16 RBIs.

Musial on the season is hitting .331 with 13 home runs. His stats include 99 RBIs and 130 runs scored.
Sunday, September 28th, 2008: 5-6 Day for Moore
It wasn't poetic justice.

Terry Moore of the Cardinals 1942 had a terrific 5-hit game today, really socking it to the Cincinnati Reds 1972, but his team didn't win the game.

In the clubhouse after the 7-6 loss, he moaned to the press, "Hey, I don't want to sound ungrateful, but something is missing here. When you have a great game you should win the game, too."

And he definitely had an unforgettable day in the batter's box, ripping out 5 hits in 6 at-bats.

The manager for the Cardinals 1942 sympathized with his center fielder and told BNN reporters after the game, "Terry played a whale of a game, but sometimes individual brilliance is not enough to win... baseball is a team sport... it takes more than just one player to win a game."

T. Moore doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 11th.

So far this season Moore has hit .296 with 3 home runs, 39 RBIs and and scored 46 times.
