| Breaking News | | Saturday, September 30th, 2017: Blue Fog Latta to Miss Year
The season is finished for William Latta of the Oslo Blue Fog. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Blue Fog right fielder suffered a bruised wrist while making a defensive play in a recent game against the Seibu Demons. Team doctors said it would take at least one week to heal.
So far this season Latta is batting .249 with 29 home runs. |
 | Sunday, September 24th, 2017: Blue Fog Snap Swaney's Streak at 22
Outkasts first baseman Howard Swaney went 0-for-4 today in Atlanta's 4-0 triumph over the Oslo Blue Fog, snapping his 22-game hitting streak.
Swaney spoke to BNN after the game and said, "I knew the hitting streak would end sooner or later. I just would have preferred later."
When he made an out in his last chance at bat, his teammates congratulated him in the dugout.
The Blue Fog manager shrugged off the streak. "There's nothing scientific about it, that's for sure," he said. "He had a nice little run. Let him start another one when we finish the series here."
This year Swaney has 34 home runs and a .305 batting average.

 | Monday, September 18th, 2017: Bushnell Befuddles Oslo
Stephen Bushnell of the Minnesota North Stars was on fire against Oslo. He shut them down 10-0 on 6 hits and no runs with 7 strikeouts and 2 walks.
"The first two pitches I'm looking for an out, a ground ball or a fly ball," Bushnell said. "I'm trying to get quick outs. I've never been a big believer in trying to strike a guy out from the very first pitch. It's too easy to end up behind in the count doing that."
To date Bushnell is 4-2 in 8 starts with a 3.66 ERA and has 49 strikeouts in 46.2 innings.
