The Jeffries League Rookie of the Month Award has been given to Dorian Myer of the Portland Bulldogs.
In September he played in 26 games, recording a .333 batting average with 1 home run, 12 RBIs and 15 runs scored.
Myer is currently batting .287 with 12 home runs and 82 RBIs. |
 | Wednesday, September 13th, 2017: Bulldogs Chill Vega's Hot Streak
There was double misery today for the Demons Cosme Vega as he saw his 21-game hitting streak end and his team lose 2-1 to Portland at Demon Dome. The 26-year-old shortstop was held hitless in 4 at-bats by the Bulldogs.
In 2017 Vega is batting .326 with 18 home runs.

At the age of 30, Pedro Lomas might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Portland catcher put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days collecting the Jeffries League Player of the Week Award.
He racked up 8 hits in 12 at-bats, no home runs and 2 RBIs last week in 5 games.
So far this season Lomas is hitting .278 with 2 home runs, 24 RBIs and 37 runs scored. He has 84 hits in 302 at-bats and a .326 OBP.
