 | Saturday, July 1st, 2017: Red-Hot Pitcher Chills Out on Award Daniel Bonilla takes the hill with uncharacteristic poise for a man of so few years. Bonilla is just a lad, but he strung together some solid starts last month to win the Jeffries League Rookie of the Month crown. In June he held opponents to a .228 average as he struck out 24 in 34.2 innings. In 5 starts he nailed down 4 wins, suffered no losses and compiled a 2.60 ERA. To date this year, Bonilla shows a 9-4 record, 16 starts, 103.1 innings, 80 strikeouts and a 4.01 ERA. |
