 | Tuesday, November 1st, 2016: Hamilton Selected JL's #1 Batter Josh Hamilton went on a season-long hitting spree against Jeffries League pitchers and captured the Most Valuable Player for 2016. The Portland center fielder battered the opposition for 204 hits, 36 doubles, 5 triples, 39 home runs, 93 runs batted in and scored 136 runs. He hit .321 and posted a .408 on-base percentage. For being named the JL's top hitter, Hamilton will be honored at the SION Baseball Writers awards banquet this weekend. |
